Ever Wonder

The other day i walked into the bank. While waiting in line, a lady in front of me had a little boy with her, around four years old.

Standing in line waiting is never any ones cup of tea, but boy did the little guy make the best of it.

I mean running from one end of the bank to the next. Laying down and breaking into nursery rhymes... the lot.

The mom did not seem to mind her tear away amusing himself and frankly everyone else seemed amused by the antics of the little one.

It got me thinking. What if it had been one of the adults standing in line that decided to run amok in the bank... hmmmm

Sirens galore and off to the nut house in a New York minute... is what would happen.

At what point does society decide to take away the free pass of childhood antics.

Did we all collectively sign some agreement at some point ?

Childhood,,,,,, what a gig.

Every waking day i look into my sons eyes... an angel looks right back at me..

My calling is to nurture and protect that innocence... for that's what life is all about.

Guillotine anyone ?

1. while waiting for an elevator.. someone comes by and presses the elevator button... again ??

2. People who step into the street craning their necks to see if the bus there waiting for is anywhere in sight... ??

3. Just because i said hallo does not give you the right to ask me where i am from..

4. People who were socks with sandals... yes... you know who you are ..

5. People that send forwards without comment... i know the attachment is funny but say something for crying out loud..

6. lets not talk about the weather.. i figured it out as soon as i stepped out of the door this morning

7. Whoever invented the punch in clock at work should be shot

8. People with car stickers saying "baby on board" ?? WTF

9. Cheesy personalised plates..

10. Vehicle bumpers or for that matter any part of a vehicle was never designed to be a bulletin board, people with wise ass bumber stickers should be shot with numbers 8&9 above.

The dance

Remember the first time we met ? all it took was nothing but a fleeting glance... then you all but took my breath away, never had i seen anyone so confident, warm, funny... your eyes... oh yes your eyes.. captivating yet so sexy.

Took me a while to let your hand go, kind as you are, you gave me a reassuring smile, i later wondered what you thought of my indignity, to yearn so obviously with no shame. But you must have understood that in that moment i could not have helped myself.

Then the dance began. Oh the dance...

We would linger hours on end talking of sweet nothings on the phone, a day would not go by without talking to you.

A date meant so much.. what am i going to wear, oh i had to impress no doubt, clean up really good, out the door in a hurry not to be late, tear back into the house for another quick dash of the cologne, overload obviously.. but who cared.

You would keep me waiting, not to long.. but enough to to rattle me. The anticipation... beyond words.

Then you would turn up, each time would seem like the very first time i saw you. Kiss on the chick and off we would wonder hand in hand without a care in the world.
